During a school internship, Aaron Teo found the experience to be a particularly unenjoyable one. That made him think a lot about his future and career, which he knew he would dislike if he had a difficult superior like he encountered during his internship. He had just finished serving his National Service at that time when a friend asked if he wanted to join him in finance. Aaron saw for himself how his friend seemed to be doing well and thus was inspired by his success. Only after coming onboard that Aaron discovered his friend was in the insurance industry. In those days, he had a negative perception of insurance in general, and had never even heard of Prudential. However, once he grasped the concepts of financial and retirement planning, it hit him how important money management is.  

Aaron also got his teenage wish of wanting to be his own boss; the flexibility of the industry enabled him to create his own working schedule. Thus began his foray into the insurance world, starting with approaching his friends to share with them the importance of financial growth and planning. He finds it invigorating when he empowers others because he is the catalyst for the fruits of his clients’ labour.

Having been established as a consistent and trustworthy person – not just an agent – Aaron’s specialisations lie in providing financial advices on investment-linked insurance plans.  

“I believe firmly in giving – to others, and to the society. The focus is not on taking, but on giving value to people around me,” Aaron proclaims.
